Gatlin Education Services Achieves Triple Digit Growth In January Largest Provider of Online Career Training Experiences Expansion Far Above Segments Average

Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) February 9, 2024 -- Demand for certificate-based, online career training has steadily grown over the past five years. The new site will be announced in a special supplement, "Hire Education," appearing in three weekly business publications this month: Crain's Detroit Business and the Lansing and West Michigan editions of Business Direct Weekly.

"This is the start of a very successful matchmaking service between talented Michigan graduates and Michigan companies in need of their skills," said Director David C. Hollister, Director of the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth. "The State of Michigan is thrilled to join forces with Crain's Detroit Business in this unique partnership. It's a win for keeping more of our talented students right here in Michigan, a win for businesses seeking skilled employees, and a win for Michigan as we strengthen our businesses and our economy with jobs."

The collaboration addresses a major hiring headache for small and mid-size employers that have jobs and internships available but not the staffing to permit broad, on-campus recruiting.

"Some of the largest companies may still be laying off workers," said Crain's Associate Publisher Mary Kramer. "And those big companies already have large recruiting efforts that connect regularly with college campuses. But the new jobs seem to be coming from smaller and mid-sized companies. And it's many of these companies that don't have the resources to do a lot of campus recruiting. This new Web site will help."

The Web site will also be efficient, since many of the dozens of public, private and community colleges and universities have different Web-based platforms for their job placement efforts, she said.

The new Web site is intended to be an open platform which any student, college placement officer and employer can access quickly and easily. Employers can also request that specific colleges be alerted to their electronic postings.

"Being able to power such an influential Web site like this is a big plus for all involved," said CareerBoard President Peter Tuttle. "Michigan's on the brink of starting a real 'brain gain' as a result."
